ASUS Z790 Apex Encore
i9 14900k
Samsung 990 Pro 2TB m.2
Lian Li Galahad II LCD
G.Skill 7800mhz DDR5 32gb (listed in QVL)
Nvidia RTX 4090 OC
TG Kryonaut Extreme paste
It all started about 1-2 months after purchase. Everything was fine but then the problems started to ramp up. Random crashes in ARK:Ascended (Unreal Engine 5) some bluscreens then it came over to PUBG (Unreal Engine 4) and started to randomly crash while playing, also bluescreens/computer freeze.
PUBG also seem to crash after 3 hours more or less.
My CPU temps are jumping from 35-47 in idle.
Goes up to around 80 under load/games and heavy load around 90.
CPU is thermal throttling in AIDA64 tests after 5 seconds.
This is what I've tried so far to fix my problems:
- Ran 4 memtests, no faults
- swapped ram sticks, booted with 1 stick and the other one etc.
- re-pasted the i9 and checked for broken pins
- re-installed windows
- updated all drivers
- updated BIOS to latest
