CPU: intel i9 14900k
CPU Cooling: nzxt kraken
Motherboard: asus rog maximus z790 hero
ram: g skill 32 gb ddr5 2400 mhz x2
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060
PSU: asus rog strix 750w gold
OS storage: Samsung 990 PRO SSD 2TB M.2 NVMe

Whenever i open unreal engine games like cod they either crash on startup or shortly after. Also apps like discord will randomly crash and my google tabs will randomly crash too. I tried to download ietu to fix it but whenever i try to open it it just freezes on the startup screen. My pc will also randomly blue screen and restart out of nowhere. I already tried updating and resetting bios but the same thing just kept happening.

Hi roolxr,

Thanks for posting in the community, to further investigate this situation I would like to ask you some question with regards to your issue. Please see the following questions below:

  1. What other troubleshooting steps have you done? This way I can eliminate the things that you have already done
  2. Can you confirm if you are currently enable the Intel Default Setting?
  3. Are you version 2801 of your bios?
  4. Can you share the power scheme that you are using on your system (Power saver, Balanced, High Performance, Ultimate Performance)
  5. If you have did swapped testing using an identical or compatible, motherboard or processor. Can you share me the exact model of the processor?
  6. Is your system newly built or not?
  7. Is there any signs of physical damage on your processor? Or have you delidded it?
  8. Did you try overclocking your processor, might be on the bios or in application? If you did in an application can you tell me the name of it? Please note that if the system was overclocked, including voltage/frequency beyond the processor supported specifications, your processor voids warranty.

Your detailed responses will help us resolve the issue more efficiently. Thank you for your cooperation, and I look forward to your reply.

Best regards,
