m.2 nvme slot 1 not working

my pc had a i5 11400f cpu installed. i upgraded my memory with extra 1tb nvme ssd in slot 2. slot 1 had a 500gb. i upgraded my cpu to the i9 10900 and now slot one does not work and had to move my 500 gb to slot 2 for the computer to boot. slot one does not recognize my 1tb at all. i dont think its working now. did i do something wrong or did i miss something

What motherboard?  Provide model and manufacturer.

Also, have you contacted the motherboard manufacturer?
