hi,
there are some news said these days " Arria II GX FPGAs achive PCI-SIG compliance for PCIe 2.0 ... " To my understanding, the highest data rate of integrated transceiver of Arria II is 3.75 Gbps which is lower than 5.0 Gbps of the PCIe 2.0. What is the news meaning? Do i miss something? Thanks,Link Copied

PCIe 2.0 is 5.0 Giga-transfers per second because there is a lane going each way between two devices. Thus, a clock speed of 2.5GHz is required to achieve this transfer rate, which is mighty fast but it falls within the range of the A2GX transceivers.
