We have been using Micron's M25P16 in place of the EPCS16 for years now since all of our designs are commercial rated. However, I now have a project in which I would like to store a few MB of data, and it seems like the easiest way would be to share room in the config prom. The EPCS128 would be big enough, but at $55/part, a bit out of the budget.
I found the N25Q128A, which seems to be nearly identical outside of a few sectors marked as bootloader sectors, in a Micron document which purports that the N25Q series is Altera compatible, but I was curious to know if anyone had tried it. The target device is a Cyclone IV. Thanks!Link Copied

Just can tell that N25P64 and N25Q256 are working fine as AS configuration flash.
