Can USB Blaster PID+6001&REV_0400 be upgraded to REV_0600?

I have a couple Altera USB Blasters USB\VID_09FB&PID_6001&REV_0400. They will not program a Stratix V FPGA. When I try one that is REV_0600 it works. Can the REV_0400 blasters be upgraded?

You can read from and program this info your USB-Blaster using FTDI's "ft_prog (http://www.ftdichip.com/support/utilities.htm#ft_prog)" utility. So, you can read the data from your working unit and program into the other. However, you clearly do this at your own risk - or risk to your USB-Blasters at any rate. Of course, you can always backup the data from your non-working unit before you start.

Cheers,

Alex
