Hi,
On the link below I can see the LAB definitions of all Arria, Stratix and Cyclone 5 ALM /LAB http://quartushelp.altera.com/12.1/mergedprojects/reference/glossary/def_alm.htm Where can I find them for the Cyclone 2, 3 and 4? I need this because I need to specify placement constrains for my design that need to apply to all Altera FPGA’s. Rgds, KimberleyLink Copied

Reread you link: The following figures show the basic architecture and numbering convention for the ALMs and LUT resources within a LAB in supported device (Arria series Cyclone V, Stratix II, Stratix II GX, Stratix III, Stratix IV, and Stratix V) families.

Refer to the documentation for each FPGA family you're interested in. This is all available on Altera's website. Look for the 'architecture' (or similar) document under the family's documentation tab.
A quick look reveals a Cyclone II LAB contains: "16 LE's, LAB control signals, LE carry chains, local interconnect". Cyclone II's basic building block is a Logic Element (LE) - as it is for Cyclone III & IV.
