Hi Dears:
We are using EP2C15AF484C8 devices, and designed the boards according the FPGA pin definition. Now, we are debugging the board. And found that the FPGA can't be programmed when the device is set as EP2C15A, and get back a wrong ID code information. We check that this ID code is of EP2C35 devices. We auto detect thru the jtag and get back the information showing the device EP2C35. So, we reset the device part no. to EP2C35 in QII, and recompiled the project, and the project can be downloaded. But we didn't design the board according the device's migration options. So our boards can't work when a EP2C35 soldered on the board. And the configuration devices we selected are also more small. Attached are the debugging jpg files which may show more information for you. And my doubt is that if Altera may send out these devices like what we are using, or the distributor sold us fake goods?Link Copied

Clearly EP2C15/EP2C20 and EP2C35 use different JTAG IDs. You should contact Altera in any case to clarify the device identity.
