Hi,
i have a question about EyeQ Tool: is it present in Arria 10 GX? I created a project with Reset Controller, ATX PLL, Native RX and Native TX. When i run the Transceiver Toolkit the TX and RX are connected, then i start the test and the BER is 0. So the equalization-sweep was successful. Now i would like to plot a EyeDiagram, is possible on Arria 10 GX? (in this site it would seem so: https://www.altera.com/products/fpga/features/transceivers/arr10-transceivers.html) Thanks, MarcoLink Copied

Hi Anad,
I already watched that video. There are few options a little bit different in QuartusPro 18.0 than Quartus15.1, but the project run and i tested link and BER. When i was in the Transceiver Toolkit the buttons "Control Transceiver Link" and "Link Auto Sweep" are enabled, while the buttons "Link Eye Viewer" and "Link Auto Sweep & Eye Viewer" are disbaled. The transceiver link without a test switching from Locked to Unlocked continuosly, but when i start the test the link will be "Locked". Best Regards, Marco- Mark as New

Hi Marco,
Have you checked session 9.9.3 page number 209, Here it states that the Transceiver Toolkit allows you to run the eye contour tests with the Eye Viewer tool for Stratix 10 H-Tile devices. https://www.altera.com/content/dam/altera-www/global/en_us/pdfs/literature/ug/ug-qpp-debug.pdf Maybe because of this the Eye Viewer option is disabled for Arria 10 devices. You may see Eye Viewer option disabled from Transceiver Toolkit for Arria 10 devices from Quartus version 16.1.0 to the latest version. For confirmation can you try with the steps given in the link? Let me know if this has helped resolve the issue you are facing or if you need any further assistance. Hi Anad,
I try but the EyeQ option is always disabled. I found a document that report a change from January 2018 " Removed On-Die Instrumentation — EyeQ and Jitter Margin Tool support from PMA Features of the Transceivers in Intel Arria 10 Devices table". The document link is: https://www.altera.com/content/dam/altera-www/global/en_us/pdfs/literature/hb/arria-10/a10_overview.pdf - pag.41 I suppose that these features (EyeQ and Jitter Margin Tool) are no available in Arria 10 from January 2018, right?
