FPGA support files for openvino?

Hi,

I have been given a IEI Mustang F100 with a GX660 fpga to examine, I can only see the Fpga support files (sof & aocx) for the GX115 variant. Can someone please point me to the files for the GX660 since the GX115 are incompatible? Thanks!

Hi @Rog,

Thank you for posting in Intel community forum and hope all is well.

Per my understanding the mustang-f100 comes with A10 1150gx by default, has there been a replacement happened on the chipset?

And yes we do have instruction and configuration files for A10 1150gx below, unfortunately we do not have a pre-build bitstreams files for A10 SX660.

Hope that clarify.

As to the replacement question, I am told this variant was only sold in the UK, it has not been modified, as is as it was sold.

Hi BB,

I don't suppose you have had chance to look for those quatrus files for the A10 gx660?

I would really appreciate if someone could look I to this, as I very much want to be able to use this card.

Thanks.

Hi @Rog,

Just some updates, after checking internally understand that as mustang devices are collaboration product with IEI, hence more details on the product might be available from IEI itself as Intel would have limited access to those information which we can only provide a best effort support.

Hence would suggest to post the similar question with the IEI support to clarify on this.

Hope that clarify.

Hi BB,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I had already done as you suggested, and it does not look like the manufacturer will be able to assist me.

I understand what you say about support being available only on a best effort basis, so if you were able to provide me with the quartus project files for the gx660 variant I would be more than happy to build the files myself.

I already tried to rebuild the project using the gx115 files, but all of the IP is locked to the gx115 version, so this wasn't possible for me.

I would very much appreciate your assistance here.

Hi @Rog,

Apologies for the delayed in response, please do give me abit more time to look for the example.

I am still trying to find a suitable one and will get back if I found it.

Thank you for the patients.

Thanks BB, this would be really helpful. For clarification, whilst I do want to use openvino, I am especially interested in OpenCL - I had presumed that it would be the same set of files, but it occurred to me that it might not.

I appreciate this is a "best effort" support ticket, but without these files I basically have a brick. So thanks again!

Hi @Rog,

After some investigation internally, good news there might be some A10 GX design that we can refer to as the link below:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/design-example/749026/arria-10-pcie-gen3x8-avmm-dma-with-external-ddr4.html

However that particular design are for different application purposes, and for cases where openvino application, there might be some major custimization required in this case.

Hence please do look through the above link and hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply BB, I will certainly have a look.

I hear what you say about openvino.

As far as OpenCL goes, I read talk of porting it to devices in your documents but haven't tried anything yet.

If it's OK, I would like to leave this thread open in case I have any follow up questions - you never know, my experience and your responses might help others too

Thanks again.
