I have an sof and jic file for a CycloneV device with an MX25L12833FM2I SPI-flash.
I need to program the SPI-flash with an external burner (programmer) from HiLo systems.
What is the file I need for this.
I understand I can do the conversion from the sof or jic file from Quartus.
There are several choices like rpd, pof etc.
Which one do I need to create for using an external burner.

Hello,
For secondary programming file, you may want to refer to this link : https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/docs/programmable/683039/21-3/secondary-programming-files-programming.html
for 3rd party programmer, normally other users choose .rbf or .rpd files.

Farabi
Hello,
Do you have HiLo programmer link so i can relate? I thought HiLo is a connector for highspeed DDR4/QDR RAM.

Hi Farabi:
Thanks for the responses.
That was a coincidence for HiLo
We use the HiLo external burner.
Link is https://www.hilosystems.com/en-gb/product/category/4
We have the AL-200 programmer.
Thanks

Hi Farabi:
Not sure why you are asking me to try an .svf file.
The link you added appears to indicate: "In the Quartus Prime software, go to the Tools menu and select JTAG Chain Debugger"
That is *not* what I was trying to do. Not even close actually.
I am trying to use an external programmer - the HiLo standalone programmer.
Not sure if I misunderstood what you mentioned about the .svf file. Did you want me to use that to create another format?
My original question was:
"I need to program the SPI-flash with an external burner (programmer) from HiLo systems.
What is the file I need for this."
Let me know if you need more clarification.
Maybe I am missing something. Let me know.
Thanks
Murali
