Hi all, first time poster so please forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask this. I just bought a DE0-Nano-SoC with a Cyclone V chip in it, and I cannot figure out how to interact with it in Quartus prime web edition. When I attempt to use the Quartus programmer no hardware is detected. Ive tried installing the usb blaster ii drivers multiple times and windows 10 shows the device as a USB serial converter. I've been trying to fix this for a few hours and im now out of ideas. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Are you sure your plugged into the USB blaster side and not the USB uart side? The docs for that board indicates it has two separate USB connectors.

This fixed the problem, thanks.

Just a quick question regarding Windows 10; I'm upgrading soon; is there a timeframe on when Quartus will support Win10?

Hi,
I used Quartus II 13.0 under Windows 8.1 Pro (x64) and Windows 10 Pro (x64) without any issues. I do not remember if I used for programming USB Blaster or USB Blaster II. If you have not tried it before, try to install the driver manually. To do so select the programming device in either "Devices and Printers" or "Device Manager" -> Properties -> Update Driver -> Manually and select the path to i.e. C:\altera\15.1\quartus\drivers. Now, it should pick up the correct driver. The path depends on where you installed quartus at.- Mark as New
