Help! My CPLD has been obsoleted

Altera recently obsoleted the CPLD my company's been shipping for an old product. It's a 5V part. I'm past the LTB date. Any clues how I can avoid this in the future, and where I might find some of these devices in the interim?

You can also find information on product change or obsolete here: http://www.altera.com/literature/lit-pcn.jsp

You can also enter a full part number (e.g. EP610IDC-15) into the search box at www.altera.com and you will get the status of the device and any relavent PCN or PDN literature associated with it.
