Hi! I use Cyclone V. Can I use Floating Point IP Cores? If I can use it, I want its' test bench!

When I tried to use "ALTERA FP MATRIX MULT", I got error that "Cyclone V doesn't support this IP".

I can't use others Floating Point IP?? for example, ADD_SUB, SQRT and so on.

I tried to use ALTFP ADD SUB, and executed RTL level simulation.

But I couldn't get expected result...

Maybe my test bench is not correct.

So, I want correct test benches.

I watched this page(https://www.intel.co.jp/content/www/jp/ja/programmable/support/support-resources/design-examples/design-software/quartus-ii/alt_fp_add_sub.html), but I couldn't use the link URLs there.

Hi,

As I understand it, you have some inquiries related to the floating point IP in CV devices. For your information, as I checked with Q17.0Std for CV, I observe there is ALTERA_FP_FUNCTIONS IP which would perform the floating point functions ie add, sub, multiple. It would be great if you could further look into this to see if it is something that suit your target usage?

Please let me know if there is any concern. Thank you.

Best regards,
