Is Dyamic partial reconfiguration supported in any of altera FPGAs

 I am a graduate student and working on my thesis. i would like to know if any of the altera fpga's provide dynamic partial reconfiguration features.   -shayan

The new Stratix V devices are supposed to. Take a look at their handbook.

 i checked out stratix V handbook and what i found is that they support DPR for the tranceiver channels but there is nothing mentioned about the rest of fpga area. What i am looking is the kind of DPR support provided by xilinx on the virtex fpgas. Does stratix V support such kind of DPR  -shayan

Does stratix V support such kind of DPR   --- Quote End ---  The main Stratix V page implies that it is possible:  http://www.altera.com/products/devices/stratix-fpgas/stratix-v/stxv-index.jsp  "Get Ultimate Flexibility for Your Designs, User-friendly fine-grain partial reconfiguration, which allows you to change core functionality on the fly"  and then a little further down the page there is a "Partial Reconfiguration" link  http://www.altera.com/products/devices/stratix-fpgas/stratix-v/overview/partial-reconfiguration/stxv-part-reconfig.htm   This looks like the functionality you are looking for. Perhaps the handbook has not been updated to include this yet; I didn't look at it.  Cheers, Dave

The latest edition of the "Embedded Systems Design" magazine has an article from Altera about reconfiguration; "Making hardware
