Issue while using HSMC as single-ended GPIO

Hello everyone

I'm using Altera Stratix - IV (EP4SGX230KF40C2) and intend to use the HSMC ports as GPIOs; specifically, for receiving the single-ended digital outputs from external ADCs on to the FPGA. However, I found out that some of the port pins are always constant and not changing with ADC inputs. Can I use all the HSMC pins as GPIOs?

Thanks

Hi ChandanSuthar

Thanks for your inquiry.

It depends on what IO standard does the ADC uses, and check if which bank the HSMC pin is connected to,  if the Vccio of that bank supports the IO standard that the ADC uses, then they can be used.

Thanks.
