check your license file and make sure the date coincides with the release month of the version you are using.

Hi,

I am having the same problem. My license was issued May 9th, but I'm using DSP Builder 7.0, because this works with the version of Matlab installed on my machine (Matlab 7.0). Is the date of my license the reason I am getting a license error in Matlab when I try to compile?

Thank you!

you shouldn't have a problem with a new license and older software. have you setup LM_LICENSE_FILE to point at your DSP Builder license? DSP Builder won't look at the QII License setup, only LM_LICENSE_FILE

Hi thepancake,

Thank you for replying! All of the environmental variables, including LM_LICENSE_FILE, were set correctly. I "solved" the problem by getting a new license of Matlab, Matlab R2009a. Now compiling with Quartus II 11.0 and DSP Builder 11.0 works fine (after installing DSP builder 11.0 twice).
