Hi,
I'm using Max+Plus II software to program/verify MAX 7000 series CPLDs. I am using a ByteBlaster II interface, and I understand that ByteBlaster II support was added as of version 10.22 of Max+Plus II (I have version 10.23 installed). While I'm able to program/verify EPM7160SLC84's with no problem, Max+plus II will not recognize EPM7128SLC84's (unrecognized device or socket is empty). I have tried several of these with no luck. Is there something going on here I'm unaware of? Also, could I used Quartus II instead of MP II? Would my original project files transfer over to Quartus II? Thanks, TracyLink Copied

Quartus has a "Convert MAX+Plus II project" option. Why don't you simply try?
You can check device recognition without converting a project.- Mark as New

I downloaded and installed the Quartus II standalone Programmer. Same result, worked fine with the EPM7160SLC84, can't see the EPM7128SLC84.
These are previously programmed devices on PCBs that we are repairing. Is it possible that the JTAG port has been disabled by the circuit designer? Thanks- Mark as New

I was able to get it to work by reducing the VCC on my board from 5V to 3.8V or so. Repeated this with 4 or 5 boards. Very strange...
