Need to Transfer Data Between FPGA and PC

I am doing a project on FPGA, and I need to transfer data between my project and PC. I am looking for something that is ready to use and does not require any knowledge. Can anyone suggest a simple method that can resolve my issue? :)

an rs232 link is probably the easiest. there should be a core available on opencores.org
