Hello Humans!

I'm taking my first real engineering class and it's that time of the year; FINAL PROJECTS!! Me and my lab partner were looking for ideas online and couldn't believe some of the things people were doing with the Altera DE2(that's the board we're using):p let understand how to begin a project like those that we saw. So far in my class, we've done simple labs using counters and flip-flops and junk and used LEDs and the 7-segments. But for the final project we have to use some peripherals (like the LCD display, PS2, Audio In/Out, USB port, etc.)...... I have no idea where to begin. I have some ideas for the project but don't know how to get started. Any help will be most appreciated:)

here are some of the requirement of the project:

  • Degin a complex systems different from anything already done in the lab

  • must use Verilog to implement design

  • system must be complex enough for a final group project

  • include the use of advanced features in the DE2 board such as LCD display, use of the clocks, interfacing to the video/audio ports, etc.

I would be forever grateul for any help:o

DE2 board should come with the design examples which uses the LCD 16x2, VGA, PS/2 mouse & keyboards, etc. Try to refer to them to get started. :)
