Problems with Hardware in the loop on Stratix II EP2S180

Hi! 

 

I have a question concerning Hardware in the loop on Stratix II EP2S180. 

I am trying to work with this feature but im not very glad of my progress ! 

Im trying to do a simple thing: I want include the switches of the board in a hardware in the loop progress. but the switches dont work while doing hardware in the loop! 

does anyone have an idea?
