I have a pof file used on the EPS464 device.
Due these devices being discontinued I am trying to use the EPM7064 as a substitute. The EPM7064 is mentioned by ALtera as pin compatible to the EPS464. I tried to program the EPM7064 with the EPS464 pof file but seems as though there is more to it than just programming with the pof. Does the pof need to be converted to work with the EPM7064? I'm a newby to this forum. THanks for any assistance. JeffLink Copied

Hi Jeff,
Just would like to understand if the POF file you used is EPS464? If yes, I believe you would need to compile the design to be compatible with EPM7064 before convert it to POF.- Mark as New

--- Quote Start --- Hi Jeff, Just would like to understand if the POF file you used is EPS464? If yes, I believe you would need to compile the design to be compatible with EPM7064 before convert it to POF. --- Quote End --- Yes, the POF file used was originally for the EPS464. So, if I can locate the original design files I can compile to work on the EPM7064. So far that's my issue, locating the original design files. My guess is there's no way to uncompile the POF. THanks for relpying. Jeff

Based on my understanding, you have to recompile the design and get the SOF file then only can convert into POF file.
