Hi every body,

I am new member of this group. I want to know weather altera is having a FPGA device with "hard core" I2C in it. Please reply me soon. If its there please tell me the device family and package type too.

Thx in advance

May I ask you why you would prefer a hardware i2c core instead of a soft one?

As far as I know, no AFPGA has a hardcore I2C, however several vendors provide have soft I2C that can be pruchased, or you can try opencores and see if that works for you.

The main reason for going hard core is no need to implement i2c that is the only reason

Better use the soft implementation, it's simple.

There's plenty of literature about soft I2C implementation on the web, you just need to spend some minutes over a search engine.
