I am building a fun FPGA project, that will use automotive type light bulbs, without all the details it will be a game. I want to turn these bulbs on and off with the FPGA signals. I figure 12 volt auto bulbs would be cheap, easy to work with and replace.
Any guidelines you can give me on relays the will drive 12v item that can be driven by the cyclone II FPGA? I used regular optial relays with my old 5000 series FPGAs, but I am using a cyclone II setup now.Link Copied

I recall a device with a part number that started with ULN2003 (and related families)
I would google for uln2003 But why not use Super Bright White Leds ??- Mark as New

This game would have to have a really bright light, I may use a 12volt superbright LED type headlight bulb.
