Remote Update Arria2gx : How to get previous failed boot address?

Hello all,

I am working on the remote update for the arria2gx. Let's say I have N images stored in the EPCS (Factory, Image 1, Image 2, .. Image N).

I power up in Factory, and I try to boot Image 1 using the remote update... and Image 1 fails so I go back to Factory and I try to boot Image 2, and Image 2 fails.. so I try Image 3 etc...

The question is, when I am in Factory and I detect a failure (by setting remote update param port to "000" and reading the output), how can I determine which address in EPCS (Image 1, 2, etc. ) caused the failure?

I know for the Cyclone III, IV, the remote update circuitry has previous state registers which indicates the previous boot addresses... but this is limited to only these devices.

Thanks in advance.
