Hi,

we are using Arria 10 FPGA DEVICE "10AX057N2F40E2SG", we needed to use Remote system update feature for our custom board.

From the intel design store, there are two reference design modules.

But from rocketboards website it is stated as

https://www.rocketboards.org/foswiki/Documentation/RemoteSystemUpdateCompatibility

"The Remote System Update (RSU) is a feature available for Stratix 10 and Agilex FPGA devices"

please Clarify whether Arria10 will support or NO!

Thanks,

Rajesh

Hi Jingyang, Teh

Thanks for your time and efforts.

Can you please share the project as well, to create new application file with our requirement needs the changes in design from the example design .

otherwise changing to new application image wont take effect and it may go to factory image.

Rajesh

Hi Rajesh

Did you manage to open the project Archive?

I followed the RSU document for building all the projects.

I am  able to open the project Archive, and regenerated the bit files and checked, and facing the same issue so i have checked with the case.zip files of your .jic and it is also not working i have attached log file please check once.

I wonder why i am facing the same issue,

Is updating flash with new configuration remotely worked for you !

if working
May i know which firmware code you are using?
please give a brief about the set up which you were using ?

Is it possible to have a recorded video or live demo is possible ?

Hi Rajesh

It seems like there is a problem with the driver module compilation and insertion.

The example owner is OOO today and will provide you a reply once I get his input on the logs.

Meanwhile I have attached a log of the compilation and insertion of the driver module on my board.

Could you go through the software requirement required for the host machine? Have you gone through all the required installation?

Jingyang, Teh

Hi

Form the error logs, it could be a driver compatibility issue.

Is it possible to try it out on a Centos OS machine?

In the user guide it mention that a Centos OS Machine was used.

2.1. Hardware Requirements

1. Intel Arria 10 GX FPGA Development Kit.

2. Micro USB to USB Type A cable for configuring the FPGA device.

3. A computer with a PCIe Gen3 x8 or x16 slot running Linux Operating System. CentOS Linux 7.4 64bit was used for this reference design testing.

4. A Windows or Linux computer to run Quartus Prime Pro software and configure the Intel Arria 10 GX FPGA Development Kit.

In the host machine I am using is also a centos running machine:

Operating System: CentOS Linux 7 (Core)

    CPE OS Name: cpe:/o:centos:centos:7

      Kernel: Linux 3.10.0-1160.45.1.el7.x86_64

   Architecture: x86-64
