Script hangs when attempting command, no error message

The command:

link_project_to_device -device_name {1SG166HN1(.|AS|BK)|1SG166HN2|..@2#USB-1}

 causes the script to hang indefinitely and not provide an error message. This occurs with Quartus v 20.4, however it works as intended with Quartus v 19.3.

Ultimately we need this script to work with 20.4. Any insight is appreciated.

Hi,

You may try reduce the TCK frequency of the USB Blaster II (16MHz or 6MHz) if you are using it.

Greetings,

We currently use 16 MHz for everything. Is there a reason 16 MHz would work with Quartus 19.3 but not 20.4?

Thanks,

Jeremy

Hello,

I need more information :

1. if using GUI from quartus programmer, can it programmed? this is to filter out hw issues.

2. when it can program successfully at 19.3 meaning is it working at the same board or different board?

regards,

Farabi
