Unable to install the MAX+PLUS 2 baseline10_2.exe file

Hello,

I apologize if this has been asked before, but I was not able to find anything in the search. I am trying to install the MAX+PLUS 2 baseline10_2.exe software on my Windows 7 64-bit machine. I am able to download the file with no issues, and I have the license key .dat file needed once the program opens, but when I try to open the program to install it, it never actually does anything. I can see a setup program and the baseline program in my desktop manager, but they never change or run anything. I have left them running like this for quite sometime to check. I have tried running as administrator, and not as admin. Does anything have any advice?

Thanks in advance!!

I'm pretty sure (almost certain) that MAX+PLUS II will not support 64-bit operating systems.

The download page: maxplus2 baseline (https://www.altera.com/download/legacy/maxplus2/dnl-baseline.jsp) clearly shows Windows XP as the latest version of Windows supported.

Someone I know has a similar setup (64-bit Windows 7) and he was able to get it installed without much trouble. We cannot discover why though, and are not sure how to proceed. I appreciate the response though.

Any other ideas?

Have you changed the compatibility properties on the file? That's the next place I would look. It might work to run it in a WinXP VM. That's about all I can think of...sorry!
