Using VGA_R for outputting an Analog Signal

Hi Friends,

I am using the VGA_R pin to output a signal (a sine wave), which is first fetched from SRAM (as a 16 bit 2's complement) and then is converted to a 10 bit offset.

In the process, I am not able to trace the signal on the Oscilloscope. I am using Pin 1 of the VGA connector as VGA_R and number 5 as GND.

Please suggest whether there is something that am missing on.

At first you're missed to tell necessary information about the involved hardware platform.

Secondly, you probably missed to provide a DAC clock or to deassert VGA_BLANK (assuming you're using DE2 or similar)
