Using all 12 transceivers as Rx/Tx channels in Cyclone V

Hi,

I want to use all 12 transceivers in my Cyclone V project. Unfortunately when I use 12 GXBs or one GXB configured as a 12-channel - it shows me that the device can't instantiate 15 (!) transceivers. I managed to use 10 channels and then in Chip Planner I could see that 10 transceivers are used for the transmission and CMA PLL is used in other 2 transceivers. Are there any restricitions on number of Tx/Rx channels to be used at the same time?

Best regards,

Dominik

You will need to reserve at least one CMU channels to provide clocking to your transceiver channels in each bank. Depending on your transceiver configuration, sometimes, you will need two CMU channels within the same bank to support different data rate.
