why do i find the number in DVD is 11-digit with the beginning not 'A', while it is requested that the serial number is 14-digit with a 'A' beginning? I ask for your help!

The serial number is not on the DVD, it's on your license letter, as described here (http://www.altera.com/support/licensing/lic-q2se_licenses.html).

I'd advise you to call your local Altera distributor, he should be able to recover that information for you.
