hello everyone.

I am trying to use QuartusII version 14.0.

you can download device file separately. which is good.

but the other hand, I can not find old devices like "cyclone III" .

do you think you I can get old devices?

where can I find those?

thanks in advance.

Cyclone III is not supported on 14.0 or higher. Quartus version 13.1 is the newest version that supported Cyclone III.

It depends on what chips you want to use. In general, older chips need older Quartus versions. Right now I have 3 versions on my PC. Somewhere on Altera's web site (sorry I don't remember where) there is a document that lists the newest version that supports various families. Try to locate that if you need details.

Altera's download center (https://www.altera.com/download/sw/dnl-sw-index.jsp) has a suitable tool to determine what version of Quartus you need - see the "Software Selector".

Cheers,

Alex
