I'm sure you've posted this question before...
The diagram shows a system in which the EPM240 'hosts' 3 separate JTAG chains. In turn it is hosted from the 'External JTAG'. So, I expect the EPM240 must have (needs) a design in it which allows you to multiplex one of it's 3 host interfaces to the external JTAG host. So, is the EPM240 programmed? What fault can't you detect? Can you see the EPM240 from your external JTAG host? Cheers, Alex- Mark as New

Yes sir, I posted before but dint get response from any body.
The EPM240 is programmed and it is managing 8 jtag chain. I am only able to detect EPM240 faults, After analysis i understand that i am not able to access the secondary chain. Can you guide me or give me some idea how to access secondary chain. thanks Best regards Nikhil- Mark as New

This is a very design specific question. Without knowing a lot of detail about the EPM240 design and how the JTAG rig works, no - there's nothing I can suggest.
When you try to access the secondary chains can you see the JTAG signals, on an oscilloscope, being driven? Are the 'ADSP' chips TDO responding? Cheers, Alex- Mark as New

Dear Sir
Yes, TDO is responding and device are also getting program with .pof file. but i don't have source code. I want to develop a testing setup for that I want to do boundary scan testing. If you can share some document or example how to multiplex JTAG with EPM240 that will be enough. Thanks Best Regards Nikhil- Mark as New

We're not going to be able to help you here unless you have more information on what's in the EPM240, and you say you don't have the source code. There are many ways in which the JTAG could be multiplexed in the CPLD, we can't guess how it's been done in your case. There is no standard documentation on multiplexing JTAG using an EPM240.
I assume this setup has worked in the past? If this is the case then I suggest you should be looking for some assembly fault that's causing the setup not to work. If this is a new rig then, without a good understanding of how the EPM240 design works, I don't think we're going to get very far. Cheers, Alex
