the time to recover filtering about FIR with multiple coefficient sets

AS the title describe, when i use FIR compiler with multiple sets,i want to know how long the filter would take to recover filtering if i change coefficients from one set to another.Through simulation,it seems that the recovering time for filter to work again is negligible. so who can give me a certain answer.

Think! The recover time of a FIR is equal to the duration of it's impulse response (N/fs).

i'm not sure you can guarantee that's the case with the Altera IP, due to implementation nuances (which i imagine the OP is intending)
