Hi. Anyone knows if there exists any x86 HDL code? e.g. VHDL code for an entire 80386. If it includes surrounding memory/IO/x87 components code I will be :). If it is adjusted for a DE2-70 board I will be :D.

A quick search at OpenCores.org shows this project: zet - the x86 (ia-32) open implementation (http://opencores.org/project,zet86

Although, it looks like it is 16 bit only so far.

The better web site is :

http://zet.aluzina.org (http://zet.aluzina.org

There you can browse the latest source files, join the forum and help us to improve zet.

the DE1 is currently the working target, there are some people porting zet to the de2 and de2-70. the de0 will be used when the vga frame buffer will be located inside the sdram .

Oh, that looks really cool. I suppose it will take a while before I can contribute myself, since I'm yet a noob in verilog.
