This is a Platform-Not-Supported error. It usually occurs when support for Intel RST is not enabled in the BIOS. If you do not plan to use either Intel RAID or Intel Optane Memory-based disk acceleration, then you do not need to install this package at all.
Hope this helps,

I've a SSD M.2 solution in AHCI mode, and I know that it helps a lot the Intel RST.
I agree with Scott. If you are using SSD M.2 (NVME?) in SATA mode you don't need Intel RST Driver. There is no performance gain switching from AHCI to RST on a single drive.
