How can I check if my RST is working?

Hello, I just made a clean install of Windows 10 in my computer. But I can't find out if my RST is working (and increasing the boot performance).

I downloaded the driver in https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26865/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST-?product=55005 Download Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) and when I try to install it says that the platform isn't supported.

Googling around I found out that Windows 10 might handle it by itself. If so: is there anyway to check so?

Otherwise: how can I make a clean install in order for the RST to work?

Print from my Device Manager:

Thanks!

Hello mateuslana,

Thank you for contacting Intel Communities.

I understand that you are trying to install the Intel® RST but the installer says that the platform is not supported. Can you please provide the brand and the model number of your motherboard to better assist you?

Hello!

Couldn`t find my otherboard model... my notebook is this one: https://www.cnet.com/products/dell-inspiron-15-5547-15-6-core-i7-4510u-8-gb-ram-1-tb-hdd-english/specs/ Dell Inspiron 15 5547 Specs - CNET

Before my clean install I had Intel RST working. The problem now is that I can't reinstall it, due to the problems reported above.

Thanks

Hi mateuslana,

The Intel® RST driver you are trying to install is compatible with 6th and 7th gen Intel® Core™ Processors and the processor on your system is a 4th gen Intel® Core™ Processor.

I checked Dell's support site and they only provide drivers up to Windows® 8.1. If you can provide the chipset model on your system or the service tag (by private message) I can try to look for an Intel® RST driver that "may" work on your system.

Best Regards,

Hi mateuslana,

Were you able to install the Intel® Rapid Storage version 14.8.14.1063?

I would like to confirm if the above software version worked for your system.

Sorry I took so long to answer. The computer broke and it took a while to repair it.

Just installed and it worked! What kind of magic you did?

Thanks a lot!
