Hello, my newly installed Windows 8.1 machine with 32GB RAM on an Intel 8700K processor with a Gigabyte Z370 HD3 motherboard will not show the RAID drives in the console under "Storage system view"
Also when I enable, in Easy BIOS mode the if I enable the Intel RST the system will not boot and BSOD's. This loops until I turn this off again under Easy Mode. My mirror RAID is working however but I still get the yellow icon with the error below in screenshot. I have 2 more drives setup as a mirror which do not display here. I can see the drive (s) in Windows as a Raid 1 disk.

You do understand that the only version of Windows supported on 7th and 8th gen processors is Windows 10, right? There is no support for RST on Windows 8.1 on this processor.
Sorry,

Hello, Jeff_79.
Thank you very much for contacting the Intel® Communities Team.
As N.Scott Pearson mentioned, for 7th and 8th generation processors the Windows * version supported is Windows * 10 nonetheless, you can also try using this version of Intel® RST (1063) which was released for Windows 8.1*. Please find the download link here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26759/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST-User-Interface-and-Driver?product=55005 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26759/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST-User-Interface-and-Driver?product=55005
In addition, with that system you have, I would highly recommend you to use Windows 10* so you can get a better performance of it.
Antony S.
