Hello cifellc
Thank you for joining the community.
Is your system BIOS configure on RAID mode?
I would like to gather more information about the configuration you have on the computer. Please attach to this thread the TXT file the Intel® System Support Utility will generate: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility
Steps to save the report:
- Run the utility.
- Click on "Scan" to get the scanned system.
- Once the scan is complete click on "next".
- Use the "save" option, save the report to your desktop.
- To attach a file, you must click the "Attach" option on the bottom right-hand corner of the response box.

Updating your RST driver may not solve the issue. You may try a reset of the startup type of Intel RST Service. Open Run by pressing Windows logo and r. Then type services.msc and hit enter. On the windows, you get a service RST service which is running. Go to the property of it and change its running state to Automatic. I think this will fix your problem. If you still have problems you may check https://microsoftsupport.co/microsoft-support-uk Microsoft Support UK. They will help you if you still have difficulty with RST.

Hello cifellc
Thank you for your response.
I am looking into the system report that you have sent, I see that you have an Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset that is supported on Intel® RST version 12.9.0.1001 with the operating system Windows® 8.1, 8, 7, server 2008 and server 2012, seems that the error that you are having is due to an incomparability on the system configuration in this case because the Intel® RST version 14.8.0.1042 does not support your chipset, and your chipset Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 Series does not support Windows® 10 for Intel® RST.
Please refer to the following link for this information on the ReadMe notes

Hope this help.

I did install that version or RST and it did not make any difference same errors. The reason i went back to version 14.8.0.1.1042 is because I have 2 other builds with the same motherboard and they to are running raids, one a raid 10, the other a raid 0 . They are running version 14.8.0.1042 with no issues. see screen print below.

Hello
Thank you for your response.
Could you provide me with the model of the motherboards?
Also, could you provide me the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* of the systems that are running Intel® RST?
Regards,
Leonardo C.

2 motherboards are assus p7p55d pro and the other is a assus p7p55d le; The non working unit is a p5p55d pro. Hard to explain why one pro is working properly the other not, they all have the same bios version as well, both configured with raid 0.
I have attached the scan of the 2 working units. They are all running IRST 14.8.0.1042

As per my previous e-mail, I had RST version 12.9.0.1001 (this supports the Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 Series SATA AHCI/RAID Controlle) installed and it still failed. What I will do I re-install it, post the error message and the scan for your review..

As per my previous reply, I have re-installed 12.9.0.1001 and it still gives the same error, I have attached the event viewer error as well as the intel scan for your review.
I really don't know what steps I can take to correct this software.

Thanks everyone for their assistance in this matter,
Let me try and summarise the discussion.
Version 14.8.0.10.42 supports windows 10 but does not state that it supports Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 therefore "no support and/or future discussions"
Version 12.9.0.1001 supports the Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 but is not intended to run on windows 10 and again "no support and/or future discussions"
If anyone has an option i am willing to listen, So far all i have read is that other than rebuilding with current hardware technology no support., or I can take a chance and re-install the OS and whatever is causing the conflict may disappear.
Let me remind everyone on this thread, that the other 2 builds and one with the same exact motherboard run perfect with either 12.9... or 14.8.. I believe their is a solution but after reaching out to the community, it is just one that I have to find on my own, after all both option are not supported.
Thank you all
