The device I am using is the MSI Raider GE68 HX 14VGG, I have attempted in the past to configure through the bios, but upon installing windows, it just boots back into bios, yes I used to correct F6 drivers provided by MSI, I have also tried to find bios settings to no avail using the admin bios
Today I saw that I could try it through the Intel rapid storage technology app that I had installed through the drivers provided by MSI, which again, failed to boot back into windows after configuring, and I would like to not have to reinstall windows.

Hello Jbrad,
It seems that you're having trouble with creating a RAID on your laptop and you'd like to create this without having to reinstall Windows. For further troubleshooting, please try to follow the steps below.
Things to consider before creating a RAID:
- Your system supports RAID with Intel® Rapid Storage Technology. This can be confirmed with the system vendor.
- The drive being added to create the RAID volume with the boot drive must be of equal or greater capacity.
- The storage controller is set to "RAID" in the BIOS, not AHCI.
If the above requirements are met, you can proceed with the steps below.
- Download and install the proper Intel® Rapid Storage Technology driver/software for the platform. (See the Readme file in the driver packages noted in the Related Articles.)
- Power off the system.
- Install one or more additional storage drives.
- Power on on the system.
- Boot into the OS and use the Intel Rapid Storage Technology software to create a RAID volume.
- Do not create the RAID Volume in the BIOS, as this will result in a loss of data and the drive will no longer be able to boot to the OS.
You may also find the links below helpful with this. Please take the time to check them out.

Hello, Jed G
I have reinstalled window without the raid.
Q:Your system supports RAID with Intel® Rapid Storage Technology. This can be confirmed with the system vendor.
A: Yes my system does support RAID. Shown on its support page, and in the manual.
https://download-2.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe/nb/MS-15M1_MS-15M2_v2.1_English_GE.pdf
https://us.msi.com/Laptop/Raider-GE68-HX-14VX/support?sku_id=94454#quickguide (This is my exact model)
Q: The drive being added to create the RAID volume with the boot drive must be of equal or greater capacity.
A: Yes I have two drives Model NVMe KINGSTON SNV2S1000G (Size 931.51 GB)
and Model NVMe SAMSUNG MZVL41T0HBLB-00BTW (Size 953.86 GB). They also provide similar performance.
Q: The storage controller is set to "RAID" in the BIOS, not AHCI.
A: This guide you have provided me seems to be incorrect as my BIOS doesn't have these options https://download-2.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe/mb/IntelRAID.pdf. However, MSI has provided a video guide on how to exactly use RAID on my laptops on the support page and in its manual https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWqufSUYC-8 , the VDM controller is on by default on my laptop. I have not been able to find a way to change the storage controller to RAID since I last checked, but in the past I do remember coming across it in the BIOS, and it seems to set it automatically to RAID.

I have done this, and it resulted in my PC being unable to boot into windows, so after sometime trying to figure out what could be wrong, as I have dug through every inch of my BIOS through the admin BIOS, I decided to remove the RAID and just reinstall windows.
I've also had this issue where my computer bluescreens at boot in Rainbow Six Siege, and for some reason turning off Hyper threading has completely fixed my issues, and this has me wounder wither or not I have a faulty CPU. (It took me months to find this solution) It could also be how Rainbow Six Siege handles Hyper threading, I'm not sure on that one.
It is entirely possible that my CPU could be faulty as this laptop seems to have a hard time keeping the CPU under 95C even at lower clock speeds which could be due to manufacture issues. However, it is able to boost up to 5.8 Ghz without any issues. I have also been keeping my BIOS up to date to insure this isn't an issues.

Hello Jbrad,
I appreciate your patience for this and I understand that setting up your system can sometimes be a bit challenging, especially when dealing with specific configurations provided by laptop manufacturers.
If you encounter any difficulties during the setup process, I recommend reaching out to your laptop manufacturer directly. They can provide detailed guidance tailored to your specific system.
In the meantime, the guide mentioned (Intel RAID Guide) should serve as a helpful resource. It offers valuable insights and instructions that might assist you in navigating the setup.
