Windows 8.1 on Lenovo Ideapad 3 14ITL05

Hello, everybody. Recently I tried to install windows 8.1 on my Lenovo ideapad 3 14ITL05 by using ventoy. While I was installing, I came across an error: `A driver your device needs is missing`. I tried to search for the correct RST drivers, but when I put whatever I found into my computer with a separate media, it either doesn't detect it at all, or it hides it because it is not supported on my device. I was hoping if I could find some driver files for windows 8.1 to be installed on my ideapad 3 14ITL05.

This is what I use just in case you might need the info:

Host: 81X7 IdeaPad 3 14ITL05
CPU: 11th Gen Intel i3-1115G4 (4) @ 4.100GHz 
GPU: Intel Tiger Lake-LP GT2 [UHD Graphics G4] 
Memory: 19.801 GB
Storage: 1 TB
Storage Type: NVME SSD

I am using an SD card as the installation media and a USB drive (2.0 I think) for driver media.

Upon checking, here is the only validated operating system on your system:


  • Windows 11 Pro
  • Windows 11 Home
  • Windows 11 Home in S mode
  • Windows 11 Home, Single Language
  • Windows 11 Home Single Language in S mode
  • Windows 10 Pro 64
  • Windows 10 Home 64
  • Windows 10 Home 64 Single Language
  • Windows 10 Home Single Language in S mode
  • Windows 10 Home in S mode


It seems that Windows 8.1 is not included in the validated system on your system, and that might be the reason why you are having an error. In regards to this, we recommend that you contact Lenovo support to confirm it with them since the compatibility is between the board, BIOS, and OS.
