Running RSTCLI64 from a scheduled task

Windows 11 - I want to get the status of an RST array using a scheduled task.  I understand that this exe needs elevated privileges. I can't get the schedule task to successfully run rstcli64.exe

Any advice on how to do this?

This is my testing to date:

1) [FAIL] Created a schedule task to run rstcli64.exe and send the output to a file

  • Task runs as an administrator
  • Task set to Run With Highest Privileges
  • Task runs
  • Output not as expected

1) [FAIL] Created a schedule task to run a .CMD with the rstcli64 command in it.

  • Task runs as an administrator
  • Task set to Run With Highest Privileges
  • Task runs
  • Output not as expected

3) [SUCCESS] Created a .CMD file with the rstcli64 command in it.

  • Logged on as an administrator
  • Using explorer, right-click cmd, run as administrator.
  • UAC Prompt
  • Output as expected

4) [SUCCESS] Create a shortcut to .CMD file with the rstcli64 command in it.

  • Logged on as an administrator
  • Create shortcut and configure it to "Run As Administrator"
  • Using explorer, double click shortcut.
  • UAC Prompt
  • Output as expected.

5) [SUCCESS] From an elevated command prompt

  • Logged on as an administrator
  • Run cmd.
  • No UAC prompt
  • Output as expected.

Hello GingerNinja,

Thank you for posting in the community. I see that you've tried several workarounds to get the CLI tool to function properly. To provide you with an accurate answer, it's important to ensure that the Intel CLI tool and Intel RST are the same version. For example, if the latest version available for the Intel CLI tools is 13.2, then the Intel RST version should also be 13.2, provided it's compatible with your computer's chipset.

Could you please let me know the current version of your Intel RST? Additionally, can you confirm if you downloaded the rstcli64.exe from this link: Intel RST CLI Pro for Intel Optane Memory?

Both the driver and the cli are the latest: 20.0.0.1038.  Yes, I did obtain the cli from the link above.

Hello GingerNinja,

Thanks for the confirmation, can you tell me if you download the RST on this link Intel® Rapid Storage Technology Driver Installation Software with Intel® Optane™ Memory (10th and 11th Gen Platforms)?

Also, to better understand your entire system information, please use the System Support Utility (SSU). This will generate a text file that compiles all your system information. You can follow this link for instructions and send the text file here: Help Guide for the Intel® System Support Utility

Thanks for coming back to me.  Due to the urgency I had to move away from this RAID solution.

Appreciate your help.
