Hi,
I am using Intel core i7 13700 processor and supermicro x13sae-f motherboard.
I enabled VMD on the bios and created a RAID 1 as bootable volume. And I want install ESXI as the OS. But when I installing the ESXI, it can not recognise the VMD RAID volume, which is because the lack of driver of VMD for ESXI.
There is VMD driver for Windows that supports Core processors and VMD driver for ESXI that supports Xeon/W processors.
But I can not find VMD driver for ESXI that supports Core processors. Any advises? Thank you!

Hello razzle_dazzle,
Intel Volume Management Device (VMD) works with the Xeon family of processors to enable additional control and management of NVMe devices. So, this is only supported on the Intel Xeon family, as the requirements for the drivers you found. There is no driver for Intel Core processors.
There is some additional information on the following links:
Intel VMD-enabled NVMe Driver for VMware ESXi with RAID1 (https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/memory-and-storage/ssd-software/Intel_VMD_NVMe_VMWare_User_Guide.pdf).

Hello razzle_dazzle,
Thanks for your response. In this case, bear in mind that our support is oriented to Windows as well as our drivers, I recommend you to check with the ESXI developer to confirm if there are any drivers compatible with your system as well for additional support.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
