Hi,
I have the following setup:
2x HDD in RAID1
1x SSD old
1x SSD new
Windows 10
Intel RST 16.0.2.1086
I have cloned my old SSD drive to the new SSD drive and booted to Windows 10 from the new SSD drive.
After booting RST complained about incompatible volume (the RAID1).
It says "Your volume is not compatible with the current system configuration..."
I thought it's because of cloning of the drives so I deleted the volume and created a new RAID1 volume by keeping data on one of the disks.
After the volume has been created and data copied, RST complains about incompatibility again.
Any ideas how to resolve the error?

Hello ceecko
Thank you for your response.
I was reviewing the information on the reports you have provided me, I am noticing the Intel® RST version 16.0.2.1086 is not comparable with the chipset H170 (Information taken from the release notes of the driver version), I recommend to try with a different version of Intel® RST. You could try with the driver version form the motherboard manufacturer, or the version 15.9.0.1015 that is comparable with the chipset H170.
Release notes driver version 16.0.2.1086 see hardware supported section.

I installed both versions (15.9 and 14.8) and none of them helped.
Attached are reports from both versions.

Hello ceecko
Thank you for your response.
Did you rebuild the RAID with the version that you tested? If not I recommend trying that fist with the OEM version, before taking any action we always recommend to have a back up of the data.

Hello
Thank you for your response.
Looking into the steps you are taking seems that the raid volume will end up degraded, in this case, you can try the following steps to rebuild the RAID:
- Turn on the PC.
- Access the raid utility set the both HDD as nonRAID.
- Turn off the PC.
- Turn of the PC to Windows.
- Open Intel® RST.
- Create RAID1 by selecting both HDD.
- Select to keep data on HDD in port 0.
- Start rebuild of the RAID.

Leonardo C.

Hello ceecko
Thank you for your response.
At this point given the entire test that has been performed seems that you may be facing a hardware problem with the chipset if this is the case I recommend to contact the system manufacturer MSI* for assistance with the problem.
Regards,
Leonardo C.
