What is the use of Intel Rapid Storage Technology?

Good Morning,

 

I have seen that my laptop and my desktop computer have Intel Rapid Technology installed.

 

I have read on the Intel page that serves to improve the performance and reduce the consumption of the SSD, but that information does not clarify my doubt.

 

The problem is that on both computers I only have one hard drive and it is not SSD.

 

What is this program for? Does it help me? Can I uninstall it?

If your systems (the laptop and the desktop) came with Windows® and Intel® RST installed from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) I would recommend confirming if it can be uninstalled without causing an error in the system.
