Hi @VNT,

Since you're already using the latest version of Intel RST provided by your motherboard manufacturer and the issue still persists, I recommend trying the version available from our official download center.

Currently, the most recent Windows operating system build is 25H2, released by Microsoft. On our end, the latest supported versions are:

  • Microsoft Windows® 10 x64
  • Microsoft Windows® 11 x64 24H2 SV2

For isolation purposes, you may try installing the newer RST version from our site, as it is more recent than the version currently installed on your system (20.2.1.1016). This may help resolve compatibility or stability issues. If the issue still persists, it may be due to driver compatibility with the current OS build version, which might require further optimization. In this case, we will need to coordinate the concern with our development team for deeper investigation.

Howdy Randy,

I wanted to hop in on this thread to let you know that I am having a similar issue with Windows 11 25H2, I realize that there is yet to be a compatible version of the IRST driver to come out for this version of Windows, however I'm wondering if there are any workarounds for it. I have an ASUS ProArt Studiobook 16 with an Intel I9 13980HX (Laptop Model Number: H7604JV), and the manufacturer has Intel VMD on by default.

I was wondering if there were any 13th generation compatible IRST drivers that allow me to turn VMD off since this is the only way I can get my drive to be detected as a bootable device. The only reason I would like to turn VMD off is because this laptop doesn't run on RAID nor does it have two installed drives, so besides the slight performance boost, I don't see the need to have VMD turned on in the BIOS. Even with it off, my drive is detected by windows but can't be accessed since it has the wrong drive controller driver installed. Since windows keeps trying to force 25H2 onto my computer every time I restart, I was curious if there were any workarounds until there is a properly compatible driver released. Thanks for your help!

Best,

Rowan C.
