nvme drives not recognized in Asus ROG Maximus Z890 Hero desktop with core ultra 9 285K cpu

Hello. I have the ROG Maximus Z890 Hero with Window11 Pro OS. When I installed Windows onto my Z890, my nvme drives showed in bios NVME Configuration and M.2 . Then my system crashed with a blue screen showing recovery. I could not get recovery  to work and ended up having to select "Other OS" instead of UEFI to get Windows reinstalled. Then I switched back to UEFI.

When I checked NVME Configuration and M.2 , it said nvme not present.  My original bios was Asus 1603 which I reinstalled but  the problem persisted. I installed 1703 and 1801 bios but the problem persists. I have reinstalled iRST but the problem persists.

My bios does not give me the ability to set AHCI or disable RAID. I have tried every nvme slot but the problem persists.

I have reached out to Microsoft and they just referred my to Asus. I have contacted Asus multiple times and they tell me their senior tech level will call me. Nobody has called.

I am hoping someone at intel can help me fix the problem of my nvme drives no longer being seen by NVME Configuration or M.2 in my bios. Clearing bios, removing the CMOS battery for an hour, or reinstalling the bios or using different nvme slots has not corrected the problem.

How do I reset AHCI or disabled RAID?  How do I het my nvme to be seen in NVME Configuration and M.2  ???

Thanks, Matt

What was you problem exactly? Having the same setup and same roblem. On first boot NVMe showed up and I started to install Windows 11 Home on it, after restart during installation the motherboard doesn't recognize the NVMe anymore, it's like it's not even plugged in...
