Hello iris_1996y,
Thank you for contacting Intel Communities.
In this case, the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) is not required for the system unless you have a RAID volume configured.
You can get more information about RAID in the following PC World 's article:
http://www.pcworld.com/article/194360/raid-made-easy.html RAID Made Easy
You can try updating the software to check if the problem goes away.
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26361/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST-RAID-Driver?product=55005 Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) RAID Driver Version: 15.2.0.1020 (Latest) Date: 10/20/2016
Platforms supported
- Intel® 200 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI/RAID Controller
- 7th generation Intel® Core™ Processor Family Platform I/O SATA AHCI/RAID Controller
- Intel® 100 Series/C230 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI/RAID Controller
- 6th generation Intel® Core™ Processor Family Platform I/O SATA AHCI/RAID Controller
You can also contact the system manufacturer as they typically provide software that is specifically configured for your system.
Please let me know how it goes.
Regards,
Juan Carlos
