Hi,
We have several H2312XXKR2 (H2000) 4-node servers with defective backplanes. Some have stopped providing power to the nodes, and others no longer accept SATA drives, only SAS drives.
To diagnose the issue, we changed components one by one. After replacing the backplanes, everything started working without any problems.
- The part number of the defective backplanes is: PBA G92718-250 (= FHW12X35HS12G).
- All nodes are HNS2600KP with dual E5-2690v3 CPUs.
I found a few new FHW12X35HSBP backplanes, which are the older 6Gbps SATA/SAS H2000 backplanes.
My question is: Will these backplanes be compatible with our servers, and will they support the HNS2600KP nodes when we are only using 6Gbps SAS and SATA drives?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,

Hello Arnhem,
Greetings!
Thank you for writing to us. After reviewing your query, on Nodes HNS2600KP, the known good old model back planes used FHW12X35HSBP.
Please see below link to understand the comparisons:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/compare.html?productIds=65813,81861,81877
As per this, you will see that FHW12X35HSBP is NOT listed as compatible with HNS2600KP.
Hope this information helps. If there is any other doubts/query, please write to us.
