Change S5000PSL motherboard with configured 2 RAID arrays on ESRT II

Hi,

I have server with S5000PSL motherboard. Looks like one of the network adapters failed. I have second motherboard available in test environment, so I want to change motherboards, but I have not found any documentation on how to move RAID to new motherboard without reinstall or data loss.

Does anyone have experience with this ? Is it safe to simply connect drives to the same SATA ports on new motherboard ?

Thanks.

The RAID configuration is stored on the hard drives. So just enable ESRT2 on the new board and connect the drives, and the RAID configuration should be detected automatically.

Make sure your new board is running the same BIOS/FW version as your old one.
